This pixel collects information about the usage of our website (e.g. products you have looked at) and transmits this information to the social network Facebook, Inc. • Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
  
  
  • Services Functionality: Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier used to track the online movements of website users. Snapfish uses clear gifs in combination with cookies to help us better manage content of the Services by informing us what content is effective.
    
    
  • Affiliate Programs: We also use clear gifs to support affiliate programs administered by third-party companies. These programs allow other web services to offer special Snapfish deals to their customers. When a customer signs-up for the Services via an affiliate link on a non-Snapfish website, we display a clear gif which causes a cookie to be passed to the third-party administrator for accounting purposes. That means, for example, that if a person visited the website for “company Z,” and from that website clicked on a “Sign-up for Snapfish” link and completed the Snapfish sign-up process, we would display a clear gif causing a cookie to be transferred to the affiliate program administrator. This cookie contains an ID number that tells the third-party administrator that a new user was sent to Snapfish from the “company Z” website.
    
    
  • HTML Emails: We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by the recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

At times, we display ads both on our Services and on the websites of third parties. When you visit our Services or view ads that we serve elsewhere online, you may see different kinds of ads, such as text ads next to search results or video ads on web pages. Sometimes, these ads are based on the content of the pages on which they appear. Interest-based ads are helpful because they are more tailored to your particular interests and they are more likely to help you discover new products and services that are actually relevant to you and your interests. You also will not see the same ads over and over from us because the number of times you see a particular interest-based ad is limited. By opting-out of interest-based ads, you lose these benefits.

If you are no longer interested in receiving interest-based ads, you can opt-out by contacting us using the information below. Please note, however, that opting-out does not mean you will no longer see ads from us online. It simply means that the online ads that you do see from us will not be based on your particular interests.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to access one convenient place to indicate your preferences, including the option to make one “universal” opt-out of interest-based advertising with participating entities.
